Our ambition is to make fresh vegetables and fruit available with attention to quality, food safety, people, the environment and healthy business practices.
Our four pillars
Healthy Future is Special Fruit's sustainability programme. We have four pillars under which we bundle our initiatives around product quality, the environment, people and responsible entrepreneurship.
Healthy Product
We work with carefully selected growers and suppliers and attach great importance to quality, food safety and traceability. We take sustainability aspects into account as one of the factors in our collaboration with growers and suppliers.
Healthy Planet
We are working to reduce our environmental impact by, among other things, increasing energy efficiency, limiting food waste, responsibly using water and making packaging more sustainable where possible and appropriate.
Healthy People
The people behind our products are at the heart of what we do. We investeren in een veilige werkomgeving, opleidingen, welzijn en respect voor de mensenrechten in onze eigen organisatie en in de toeleveringsketen. Together with our partners, we are further working on social certification in high-risk areas.
Healthy Business
Responsible entrepreneurship requires clear objectives, collaboration and transparency. We therefore work to further integrate sustainability into our business operations and encourage involvement through internal initiatives such as Greenfluencers, Sustainable Tuesdays and Lunch & Learns.
